The ever so well hidden, Sherlock Holmes Museum!

Of all the years I have lived in England (25!), and with that, so close to London, I never knew this little gem existed!!! Accidentally stumbled upon by myself in search of a birthday adventure, this popped up on my radar. Although absolutely tiny, and very awkward to manoeuvre around the narrow staircases amongst the other tourists, this is well worth a visit. It will only set you back six English pounds and it is just simply wonderful to be transported back to a setting of Victorian lodgings, complete with characters in costume waiting to greet you. The visit only takes about half an hour; so perfect for a nip in and out on the run.

The address? 221B Baker Street of course!!

This is actually a building of historic interest, listed by the government in order to protect it's architectural and cultural heritage. Next door is the gift shop which is also a must see after your visit to pick up some souvenirs in the shape of a pipe, a magnifying glass, or even a Deerstalker hat! http://www.sherlock-holmes.co.uk/
